Daniel Brown grew up just north of Fort Worth, Texas where his family raised row crops, beef cattle and pigs. His passion for working with animals drove him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
In 2016, Daniel moved to Illinois to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. During vet school, he performed an internship with Carthage Veterinary Service and externships with The Maschhoffs, Pipestone Veterinary Services, Swine Vet Center and Triumph Foods. Through these experiences, he developed an interest in working with pigs, with a focus in commercial production and population-based medicine.
Daniel received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in spring 2020, and began working at Stoney Creek Veterinary Service and Consultation, P.C. in Farmland, Indiana. He transferred to Michigan Swine Veterinary Services, P.C. in January 2021.
He enjoys using the tools he learned through school and his array of experiences to develop data-driven solutions for clients.
He is married to Kirsten Brown, a small animal veterinary assistant from Houston, Texas. They both enjoy hiking, especially through the mountains.
