Bill Minton, DVM

Bill Minton grew up on a small farm in western Ohio and chose to attend Ohio State University where he studied animal nutrition. He then went into the university’s veterinary school and earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He went to work as an associate veterinarian in a large-animal practice located in Mercer County, Ohio, and purchased it in 1989.

In 2002, Bill switched the practice to a swine-exclusive consulting business that serves Ohio and surrounding states. In 2005, Bill was one of the founding partners of Four Star Veterinary Service. Today, the practice has a staff of about 34 employees including veterinarians.

“My role as veterinarian provides me with the ability to share, learn, teach and improve on our clients’ farms,” he said.

Bill serves on various advisory boards in Ohio and in the swine industry. He and his wife Theresa live in Chickasaw, Ohio and have three grown children and eight grandchildren.
