Becca Riggs grew up in Rushville, Indiana on a cattle and row crop farm. She was involved in showing cattle during 4-H and at national shows and has always been interested in working with large animals. Becca attended Black Hawk College then transferred to Oklahoma State University and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in animal science.
Growing up in Rushville, Becca had worked with Dr. Powers during her summer and winter breaks throughout college which is where she grew her interest in swine medicine. She continued to pursue her DVM degree with a focus in food animal medicine at Purdue University and graduated in May of 2022.
Becca is an associate veterinarian at Veterinary Care and Consultation and works with commercial swine and cattle operations. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and going to cattle shows.
